The LAZY GIRL Job Program

Participated in a design challenge hosted by Sprintfolio in collaboration with Bullet, focusing on the redesign of the LAZY GIRL Job Program, an initiative by Gabriella Judge, also known as Anti Work Girlboss. Working collaboratively with a partner, the objective was to address usability issues, disorganized structure, and user confusion to transform the program into a more efficient and user-friendly experience.

Product:

The LAZY GIRL Job Program is created by Gabrielle Judge AKA the Anti Work Girlboss that harnesses AI to streamline the job search process and guides users into finding the perfect job.

Project Duration:

June 2023 - July 2023

Problem:

Project Overview

The LAZY GIRL Job Program faced significant design challenges that hindered its user experience and overall effectiveness. The utilization of two platforms, Notion and Kahana, led to user confusion, as visitors struggled to navigate between the two systems seamlessly. Additionally, the program's structure suffered from disorganization and redundant information, making it difficult for users to find relevant content efficiently. The poor user flow compounded the problem, leaving users unsure of their next steps or even the fundamental purpose of the product. As a result, the user experience fell short of expectations, impacting user engagement and satisfaction. Addressing these issues with a comprehensive redesign and streamlining the user journey will be essential to transforming the LAZY GIRL Job Program into a more cohesive and user-friendly platform that fulfills its intended purpose effectively.

Goal:

  • Streamline the information into 1 platform (Notion) to provide a seamless user experience.

  • Establish Information Architecture to allow a more intuitive process for the users.

  • Use Bullet to turn the Notion workspace into a fully functioning website.

Heuristic Evaluation:

Evaluation

We performed a heuristic evaluation on the current Notion workspace of the LAZY GIRL Job Program and identified 6 areas, which rated a 3 or higher, to focus on.

  1. Visibility of system status

  2. Match between system and the real world

  3. User control and freedom

  4. Error prevention

  5. Recognition rather than recall

  6. Aesthetic and minimalist design

Impact:

Takeways

  • The design overhaul has resulted in a profound impact on the LAZY GIRL Job Program user experience, significantly enhancing organization through an efficient Information Architecture. With a thoughtful restructuring of content and intuitive categorization, users can now easily access relevant information, leading to increased engagement and satisfaction. The navigation bar and buttons, strategically positioned for optimal visibility and accessibility, have streamlined the user journey, empowering visitors to effortlessly explore our offerings. By breaking down complex information into manageable chunks, we have ensured that users can absorb content with ease, fostering a deeper understanding of the products and services. Moreover, the creation of a well-defined sequence journey guides users through a seamless experience, encouraging them to explore various aspects of the platform coherently. Furthermore, redundant information has been meticulously removed, decluttering the interface and allowing users to focus on what truly matters.
